Always double track guitars at a minimum and pan one hard left and one hard right with different amp setups. ![]() Umm velocity is HUGELY important for the way guitar notes sound. ![]() Sometimes I'll just rip a midi, downtune it and chop it up for riff ideas. I could write a book on random advice haha. I recognize that my actual production ability is pretty low and generally I just trim some mids out of the guitar, some highs off the drums and leave my vocals the way they sit. That's it.ĮQing I honestly do not think I can help much on. I made this with an xbox mic and my computer. I oftentimes record multiple takes and pitch one slightly lower with lower volume behind the main vocal.Įquipment is almost nothing. On my vocals there actually isn't that many effects but there is a lot of layering. Bias FX for amp's and MT power drum kit for drums. (sometimes realeight but you get a waaayyy better chug with slayer). The main ones I use is FL Slayer for guitars.
